Neymar’s Fury: Santos…

Juan Pablo Vojvoda, the coach of Santos, played down Neymar‘s frustrated reaction to being substituted during Sunday’s match against Flamengo, suggesting that such emotions are common among players.

The Brazilian star started the match and was substituted in the 85th minute with Santos trailing 3-0.

As he exited the field, Neymar expressed his discontent with Vojvoda’s decision and proceeded straight to the locker room, opting not to remain on the bench until the match concluded.

“It’s understandable that Neymar was upset, just like any other player would be. However, I am the one who makes the decisions on substitutions,” Vojvoda stated.

“It’s natural for him to feel that way. He didn’t act disrespectfully… There is mutual respect, and players always want to contribute, especially during challenging times for the club.”

After Neymar’s departure, Santos managed to score two late goals, but it wasn’t sufficient to change the outcome.

Recently returning from a 48-day injury layoff, the 33-year-old Neymar has netted three goals in 15 league appearances for Santos.

ESPN Brazil has reported that Neymar is considering leaving the club if they face relegation.
