ORLANDO, Fla. — Haley Carter, the vice president of soccer operations and sporting director for the Orlando Pride, has announced her resignation to explore new career opportunities, according to a statement from the team on Tuesday.
During her three seasons with the Pride, the team captured an NWSL championship and added standout players like Barbra Banda and Lizbeth Ovalle.

Pride owner Mark Wilf praised Carter for her vital contributions in establishing the Pride as one of the top clubs in the NWSL and on a global scale.
“We are actively and thoughtfully searching for a new leader in soccer who will have the chance to collaborate with a roster and coaching staff capable of competing for championships,” Wilf articulated. “With our clear vision for the future and a positive club culture, I believe the Pride is well-equipped to sustain its success moving forward.”
Under Carter’s leadership, the Pride claimed both the NWSL Shield and league championship in 2024. This past season, they advanced to the playoff semifinals before being eliminated by Gotham FC last weekend.
Carter plans to assist the club during the transition period.
“The Wilf Family’s ongoing investment in this team, both on and off the pitch, reflects their sincere belief in the potential of the Pride and the future of women’s soccer,” said Carter.
