European champions Arsenal rallied from a goal down to secure a 2-1 victory against Real Madrid in the Women’s Champions League.
Scotland international Caroline Weir gave the visitors the lead with a volley before halftime. However, Alessia Russo scored twice to secure Arsenal’s second win in four matches.
Manchester United faced their first defeat in the league phase, losing 5-2 to VfL Wolfsburg.
United’s Fridolina Rolfö scored against her former club, but two goals from Ella Peddemors helped Wolfsburg take the lead. An eventful end to the first half saw Lineth Beerensteyn score for Wolfsburg, only for Melvine Malard to reply immediately.
After halftime, Beerensteyn added a fourth for Wolfsburg, and Vivien Endemann found the net late on, bringing an end to United’s three-match winning streak.
Lyon made a stunning comeback from 3-0 down at halftime to earn a 3-3 draw against Juventus.
Goals from Chiara Beccari, Michela Cambiaghi, and Tatiana Pinto had placed Juve firmly in control at the break.
However, Tabitha Chawinga scored to spark Lyon’s revival, followed by a header from Marie-Antoinette Katoto bringing them within one goal.
In the dying minutes, Lyon earned a penalty when Cecilia Salvai handled the ball in the box, allowing Wendie Renard to convert the penalty.
Meanwhile, Maeline Mendy and Maëlle Garbino netted to secure a 2-0 victory for Paris FC over Benfica, who saw Caroline Moller sent off in the first half. Additionally, Valerenga played to a 2-2 draw against St. Polten at home.
