Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah was not included in the squad for their UEFA Champions League match against Inter Milan on Tuesday. He was suspended from selection following a highly publicized interview where he criticized both the club and head coach Arne Slot.
The 33-year-old Salah, who has only scored four goals in 13 Premier League appearances this season, practiced with the first team at the AXA Training Centre on Monday, shortly after his remarks following the weekend’s 3-3 draw against Leeds United.
However, by Tuesday morning, he found himself alone in the gym while his teammates traveled to Milan.
The Egyptian international shared a post on Instagram showcasing his training effort, leaving some to question who was there to assist him with the weights.
Nonetheless, it’s clear that fitness is not a reason for Salah’s exclusion from the squad.
