Mohamed Salah has been included on the bench for Liverpool’s upcoming Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion.
The forward returns to the matchday squad after being omitted from the lineup during Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Inter Milan midweek, following his controversial interview at Elland Road last weekend.
At 33 years old, Salah has been benched for three consecutive games, including one against Leeds United. He expressed that he felt “thrown under the bus” by the club and mentioned a deteriorating relationship with Liverpool manager Arne Slot.
Reports from ESPN confirm that Salah will be part of the squad this weekend after discussions with Slot on Friday, with the decision seen as favorable for all involved.
Following this match, Salah is set to join the Africa Cup of Nations, and his future will be further discussed in the following weeks.
Salah hinted last weekend that his game against Brighton could be his final one for Liverpool, as he prepares to represent Egypt starting December 15.

He has long been on the radar of clubs from Saudi Arabia and could leave Liverpool in January if an agreement cannot be reached with Slot and the club’s management.
During his press conference Friday, Slot stated there were “no reasons” for wanting Salah to leave.
