Thomas Frank’s position as the head coach of Tottenham is not in immediate jeopardy, according to sources from ESPN. The 52-year-old manager faced criticism from some Spurs fans after a disappointing 3-0 loss to Nottingham Forest on Sunday, which led to the team being booed off the pitch.
Currently, Tottenham sits 11th in the Premier League, with only six victories from 16 matches under Frank. Despite the subpar performance against Forest, sources indicate that the club is not looking to make a managerial change at this time.
Club officials have noted some promising performances from earlier in the season, and they are currently positioned 11th in the Champions League standings with a chance to qualify for the knockout stages. There is also an acknowledgment that further improvements will be necessary through the upcoming transfer window.
No specific discussions have taken place regarding Frank’s future, as the club’s new executive team tends to meet regularly to address various aspects of the organization.
This summer marked a significant transition for the club, with chairman Daniel Levy stepping down after 24 years and the departure of long-standing executive director Donna-Maria Cullen. Peter Charrington has been named the new non-executive chairman, while Vinai Venkatesham, formerly of Arsenal, now serves as the chief executive officer.
The club is primarily owned by ENIC, which is controlled by the Lewis Family Trust. Joe Lewis’ children, Vivienne and Charles Lewis, have taken on more active roles recently, joined by son-in-law Nick Beucher, who has also gained influence.
Focus on Internal Appointments
The pressure on Frank represents the first major test of this new leadership structure, and sources indicate there is a commitment to allow the former Brentford manager time to establish his approach. However, any further decline in form could challenge this resolve. For now, the club is prioritizing new appointments as they aim to regain their status at the top of the sport.

Additionally, Carlos Raphael Moersen is reportedly in advanced discussions to join Spurs from the City Football Group. Although the deal is not finalized, Moersen is expected to take on the role of director of football operations, succeeding Rebecca Caplehorn, who is leaving the club after the January transfer window. With a decade of experience negotiating contracts at Manchester City, his appointment is being seen as a significant win for Tottenham. This move follows the return of Fabio Paratici to the club in October as co-sporting director, alongside Johan Lange.
