Ousmane Dembélé, a forward for Paris Saint-Germain, was named the Best FIFA Men’s Player of 2025 on Tuesday. His outstanding performance helped the French club secure their first UEFA Champions League title.
The 28-year-old French international narrowly surpassed Barcelona and young Spanish talent Lamine Yamal, mirroring his triumph in the Ballon d’Or competition last September. Another contender for the award was Dembélé’s teammate from the national team, Kylian Mbappé, who has made a remarkable start to his career at Real Madrid.

Dembélé’s contributions also included netting two goals to propel PSG into the final of the first-ever 32-team Club World Cup.
PSG celebrated another achievement at the award ceremony in Doha, Qatar, as head coach Luis Enrique was honored with the best men’s coach award.
Aitana Bonmatí from Barcelona and Spain received her third consecutive recognition as the best women’s player, while England’s Sarina Wiegman took home the award for best women’s coach.
