Paul Mullin Makes…

Paul Mullin has made his return to Wrexham after a curtailed loan period at Wigan Athletic, which ended midway through the season.

The forward was instrumental in Wrexham’s early achievements under the ownership of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, highlighted in the Disney+ documentary “Welcome to Wrexham.”

During his time at Wrexham, Mullin netted 110 goals in 170 appearances, contributing significantly to the club’s three consecutive promotions in the English football league before his summer transfer to Wigan, which has now concluded.

“The club wishes Paul all the best in his future career and appreciates his contributions while at Wigan Athletic,” commented the club.

Manager Phil Parkinson confirmed Mullin’s return after Wrexham’s 2-1 victory over Derby County.

“Mulls’ loan has been terminated,” said Parkinson. “We’ll discuss things with him this week when he returns. He needs to train, as he’s missed a few days of practice.”

Before his loan, Mullin’s last appearance for Wrexham was in February 2025, where he played a diminished role in the club’s promotion from League One last season.

He also made a brief appearance in the Hollywood films Deadpool and Wolverine, thanks to the club’s high-profile owners.
