Strasbourg has announced Gary O’Neil as their new head coach following the departure of Liam Rosenior, who has taken a position at Chelsea.
Rosenior succeeded Enzo Maresca at Stamford Bridge, capitalizing on the collaboration between Chelsea and Strasbourg, both owned by BlueCo.
This left the Ligue 1 club in search of a new manager, and they have opted for O’Neil, an Englishman who most recently managed Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.
O’Neil, who previously managed Bournemouth, will conduct first team training on Thursday and be in charge during Strasbourg’s cup match against Avranches on Saturday.
Rosenior has signed a contract with Chelsea that extends until 2032.
