Neymar Kicks Off Recovery…

Neymar has begun his rehabilitation following a minor surgery on his left knee that took place on December 22.

The Brazilian forward, who will celebrate his 34th birthday on February 5, was spotted at the Santos training facility earlier on Thursday, appearing to be in good spirits as he engaged in gym workouts.

Neymar performed dedicated exercises focused on strengthening his left knee following arthroscopic surgery addressing a meniscus issue.

He delayed surgery to contribute to Santos during critical late-season matches, playing a key role in ensuring the team’s survival in the league.

Neymar’s father and agent, Neymar da Silva Santos Sr., revealed earlier this month that the player had contemplated retirement due to his injury but is now prioritizing his recovery to secure a place in Brazil’s World Cup roster.

The former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain player recently signed a contract extension to remain with Santos until the conclusion of 2026, after helping the club maintain their league status.

While no specific timeline for his return to play has been established, Neymar is anticipated to recover in time for the beginning of the 2026 Brazilian Serie A season later this month.

He has not represented Brazil since suffering an ACL and meniscus tear during World Cup qualifying matches in October 2023.
