American winger Griffin Yow is making his return to Major League Soccer as he joins the New England Revolution after spending 3.5 seasons with KVC Westerlo in the Belgian Pro League.
The 23-year-old has secured a 2.5-year contract with New England, which also includes options for the 2028-29 and 2029-30 seasons. To facilitate the move, the Revolution acquired his discovery rights from Vancouver for $125,000 in general allocation money and a second-round draft pick in 2027.
Yow, a native of Clifton, Virginia, began his professional journey with D.C. United, signing as a homegrown player in March 2019 and making his MLS debut on April 21 of that year. In total, he netted three goals over 36 appearances for D.C. United before his transfer to Westerlo in July 2022.
Additionally, Yow showcased his talent on the international stage, representing the U.S. at the 2019 Under-17 World Cup and playing in all four matches during the 2024 Olympics. During his time with Westerlo, he scored 18 goals across 86 matches, including three goals in 16 league appearances this current season.
