Tammy Abraham has officially transferred to Aston Villa from Besiktas, just a day after making a permanent move to the Turkish club from Roma.
The 28-year-old forward was on loan at Besiktas from Roma this season before the Turkish side secured his services for €13 million (£11.3m/$15.6m) on Monday.
This transfer was a stepping stone to his return to Unai Emery’s title-contending Premier League side, Aston Villa, which has now been confirmed. The deal has allowed Besiktas to make a profit from Abraham’s brief tenure, as they received €21 million (£18.3m/$25.2m) from Villa.
The England international, who has earned 11 caps, netted 13 goals in 26 appearances for Besiktas.
Abraham began his career in the academy at Chelsea and later played a vital role under Frank Lampard. However, his time at the west London club waned, leading to his transfer to Roma in 2021, where he scored 39 goals across 120 matches and won the Conference League with José Mourinho in 2022.
This transfer signifies a return to Aston Villa for Abraham, who previously spent the 2018-19 season on loan at the club, assisting them in securing promotion to the Premier League.

“Some clubs play a big role in your journey and stay with you,” Abraham expressed in a video shared on Villa’s official X account.
“I’ve scored goals, faced challenges, and matured both as a player and as a person.
“Now, I’m back at Aston Villa, eager to work hard and give it my all.”
