Former Wolves manager Vitor Pereira has reached an agreement to take over as head coach of Nottingham Forest, replacing Sean Dyche, according to sources speaking to ESPN.
While the final details are still being worked out, Pereira will become Forest’s fourth manager this season, as reported by ESPN.
Dyche was the third manager dismissed by Forest this season after he was relieved of his duties following a goalless draw with Wolves on Wednesday night.
This result left Forest just three points clear of the Premier League relegation zone, sitting in 17th place.
Sources indicate that Pereira was the only candidate considered for the managerial position by Forest.
Pereira, who was let go by Wolves in November, successfully helped the club maintain their position in the Premier League last season, demonstrating his capability to guide a team out of difficulty.
Additionally, Pereira has a previous working relationship with Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis, having managed Olympiacos in 2015.
A fourth full-time management change within a single season for Forest would set a new Premier League record.

Forest’s season has been tumultuous. Nuno Espirito Santo was sacked in September after just three matches, despite leading them to the Europa League.
Following him, Ange Postecoglou lasted only eight games — a brief tenure of just 39 days.
Dyche, meanwhile, remained in charge for 114 days, with his dismissal confirmed shortly after midnight on Thursday.
