Chelsea Unveils AI Firm as…

Chelsea has announced that it will partner with the Artificial Intelligence company IFS as its front-of-shirt sponsor for the remainder of the season.

The West London club has been seeking a long-term shirt sponsor since ending their lucrative partnership with mobile provider Three back in 2023.

Starting immediately, IFS’s logo will be emblazoned on the kits of both the men’s and women’s teams, ensuring that Liam Rosenior’s squad will sport the new shirts during their Premier League match against Burnley this Saturday, while Sonia Bompastor’s team will wear them in Sunday’s Women’s FA Cup match against Manchester United.

Chelsea has characterized the agreement as a “multi-year global partnership,” but did not specify whether IFS will continue as the main kit sponsor beyond this season, nor did they disclose the financial terms of the deal.

According to Chelsea’s statement, IFS is recognized as a leading provider of industrial AI software, delivering context-specific intelligence that is trusted by top global organizations.

This partnership comes 2½ years after the previous agreement with Three ended. Following that, sports data technology firm Infinite Athlete briefly served as Chelsea’s front-of-shirt sponsor starting in September 2023. Last season, the club spent several weeks without a main sponsor before Emirati property development company DAMAC made a short-lived appearance on their shirts.

“We are incredibly proud to partner with IFS and leverage their cutting-edge AI software to help propel the club to even greater success,” said Chelsea president Jason Gannon. “This partnership underscores our commitment to remaining at the forefront of innovation, unlocking AI’s potential to enhance our operations both on and off the pitch.”
