Real Madrid is optimistic that key players Jude Bellingham and defender Éder Militão will rejoin the first team by early April, according to sources cited by ESPN.

Both players have been sidelined due to muscle injuries, and their return dates had been uncertain. However, they have resumed training at Valdebebas, and insiders indicate they are on track to be available for selection at the start of next month.

Militão sustained his injury on December 7 while playing against Celta Vigo in the Bernabéu. If he returns as expected in April, his time away from the pitch would extend to nearly four months.

Bellingham’s injury occurred on February 1 during a match against Rayo Vallecano, with initial assessments suggesting he would be out for about a month due to a muscle issue.

Fortunately for the team, the expected return date for Bellingham has been moved up, with sources telling ESPN that he has about five weeks left before he can play again.

Álvaro Arbeloa will not be able to include either Bellingham or Militão in his squad for at least the next five matches, which includes fixtures against Benfica, Getafe, Elche, Atlético Madrid at the Bernabéu, and Celta de Vigo away, in addition to their respective international duties for England and Brazil during the March break.

Both players may be back in time for the match against Mallorca on April 5.

Dean Huijsen‘s availability for Real Madrid’s encounter against Benfica on Wednesday is uncertain due to muscle discomfort, sources informed ESPN.

His physical condition will be reassessed over the next few hours to determine his participation in the second leg of the Champions League playoff round.

Meanwhile, sources confirm that Rodrygo has made a full recovery from his muscle injury.

Although he was fit for the game against Osasuna, the club opted not to risk him. He will miss the match against Benfica due to suspension but is expected to return for the game against Getafe.
