AC Milan secured a 2-0 victory against Cremonese in Serie A on Sunday, bouncing back from their second defeat of the season with two late goals.

Strahinja Pavlovic opened the scoring in the 90th minute, followed by Rafael Leão, who netted another goal five minutes into stoppage time. Milan had missed several earlier opportunities during the match.

With this win, second-place Milan closed the gap to 10 points behind league leaders Inter Milan as they approach next weekend’s derby.

This season, Milan’s only losses have been against Cremonese in their opening match in August and at home to Parma last weekend.

Pavlovic’s goal was confirmed by a VAR review, which clarified that the ball had gone in off his shoulder, not his arm, following a corner kick.

Leão’s goal capped off a swift counterattack.

Meanwhile, fourth-place Roma was set to host sixth-place Juventus in an important clash for Champions League positions.
