Pep: Haaland much better…

Pep Guardiola has reported that Erling Haaland is feeling significantly better after missing the victory over Leeds United due to injury, and he could make his return to face Nottingham Forest on Wednesday.

Guardiola will evaluate Haaland’s condition following Tuesday’s training session.

The Norwegian forward was not included in the squad for the 1-0 victory at Elland Road on Saturday due to an ankle issue.

“He feels much better,” Guardiola stated when asked about Haaland’s recovery progress.

“Yesterday we didn’t train, and now we will train. We’ll make a decision today [Tuesday].”

Nico O’Reilly is also facing uncertainty regarding his fitness after coming off during the Leeds match, and City will wait to determine if the 20-year-old can play against Forest.

“It’s the same situation; we’ll decide after training,” Guardiola added.

City will face Forest on Wednesday, sitting five points behind Arsenal, who are playing Brighton at the Amex Stadium concurrently.

“As we approach the final 10 games of the season, every point becomes crucial,” Guardiola emphasized.

“We have six matches this month, including two in the Premier League before the international break, making it very important.

“With Arsenal five points ahead, we cannot afford to drop any points.”
