Ronaldo Injury More…

Al Nassr’s head coach, Jorge Jesus, revealed on Friday that Cristiano Ronaldo‘s hamstring injury is “more serious” than initially thought. The Portugal captain is traveling to Madrid for treatment.

Ronaldo sustained the injury during Al Nassr’s recent 3-1 victory against Al Fayha, where he limped off the field.

Al Nassr has not provided a specific recovery timeline for the 41-year-old player.

In anticipation of Saturday’s league match at home against Neom SC, Jesus stated, “In the last game, Cristiano left with a muscle injury. After conducting tests, it is evident that the injury is more significant than we first expected. He will require rest and recovery, and he will travel to Spain for treatment along with other injured players.”

“He will require treatment from his personal physiotherapist. We hope to see him back soon to assist the team,” added Jesus.

Ronaldo will aim to recover in time for Portugal’s upcoming international friendlies later this month.

Portugal is scheduled to play against Mexico on March 28 at the newly renovated Azteca Stadium, followed by a match against the United States on March 31 in Atlanta as part of their World Cup preparations.
