Not satisfied with just four kits this season, the reigning UEFA Champions League champions, Paris Saint-Germain, have unveiled a special-edition fifth kit for the 2025-26 season.
This new addition, part of PSG’s ongoing collaboration with Jordan, draws inspiration from the vibrant nightlife of Paris, particularly the sparkling lights that illuminate the city after sunset.
The kit, aptly named the “Night Edition” jersey, features a deep black base adorned with colorful swirls and patterns that mimic car taillights, neon signs, and street lamps, complemented by silver foil accents on the logos.
The unique design draws from the stunning views available at the Place du Trocadero, a popular tourist spot that provides panoramic sights of the Eiffel Tower across the River Seine.
The graphic elements were created using timelapse footage shot at Trocadero with a high-tech 360-degree camera, which was then digitally altered to produce moody, abstract lighting effects that capture the vibrant energy of Paris at night. Très chic.
True to tradition, the PSG x Jordan shirt is the highlight of a broader collection of matching streetwear and apparel, including track tops, pants, t-shirts, baseball caps, and even a wrap-around skirt.
While it remains uncertain if PSG will debut their new kit during the Champions League round-of-16 first leg match against Chelsea on Wednesday night, it would be a fitting occasion to showcase a jersey inspired by the Parisian night.
The “Night Edition” marks the 15th distinct Jordan-branded kit from PSG since their partnership began in the 2018-29 season. Here’s a look back at some of their most memorable—and bizarre—designs over the years.
2020-21 Third Kit
This shirt was a shocking blend of neon pink and “psychic purple,” appearing even more garish in natural light than in promotional images.
2024-25 Third Kit
In contrast, the “La Vie en Rose” kit featured muted pink hues as a tribute to legendary French singer Edith Piaf and her classic ballad.
2021-22 Home Kit
This kit showcased the first and only instance of Jordan branding on PSG’s home jersey, with the Jumpman logo replacing the usual Nike swoosh. The standout feature was the matching shorts, designed with oversized side panels reminiscent of basketball shorts.
2023-24 Fourth Kit
Drawing from the elephant print aesthetic prominently featured on Jordan’s iconic sneakers, this jersey was a striking gold with unique camouflage-style graphics.
2023-24 Fourth Kit (Second Mention)
Elegant and effortlessly stylish, this kit featured a sleek black design with tonal logos and PSG’s signature red Hechter stripe reimagined in the full French tricolore. Simply beautiful.
