Puma is following a close path behind competitor Adidas by launching away shirts for up to 11 national teams that will showcase its brand at the upcoming FIFA World Cup this summer.
The new kits were unveiled during a pop-up event in New York City, featuring former players Ricardo Quaresma, Asamoah Gyan, and El Hadji Diouf making appearances at a spontaneous gathering in Domino Square, Brooklyn.
Among the showcased official away kits were those for Portugal, Morocco, Ghana, Paraguay, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Czechia, Switzerland, New Zealand, Austria, and Egypt. Crowds were entertained by a vibrant four-on-four tournament featuring local players, along with food and music filling the atmosphere.

Puma
The away kit features a soft, minty-green marble design adorned with delicate gold arch pinstriping, exuding an opulent Art Deco vibe, likely influenced by the luxurious aesthetics of European palaces. Quite sophisticated.

Egypt’s away shirt, inspired by ancient pyramids, starts with a simple white background, subtly enhanced by a muted graphic composed of geometric shapes and angular lines. The seven stars above the EFA crest represent the Pharaohs’ seven Africa Cup of Nations titles.

Puma
Ghana’s World Cup away kit is more subdued compared to its home counterpart, featuring a yellow-gold base adorned with a textile pattern reminiscent of traditional kente cloth. The design pays homage to the bustling atmosphere of the historic Makola Market in Accra.

Puma
As is often the case, Ivory Coast has paired their orange home kit with a white away version, but this latest design stands out with its intricate patterns and illustrations, featuring subtle green and orange motifs inspired by the nation’s flora and fauna.
Rating: 7/10
Morocco’s away kit is fashioned in white with a light sand pattern forming a bib design on the front. This intricate line art draws from traditional Moroccan tile and textile designs, though it lacks a memorable flair.

Puma
New Zealand’s away kit features a black backdrop highlighted by Māori symbolism, seamlessly integrated into the shirt’s fabric through a tribal fern leaf design. While it may resemble the rugby team’s kit, it remains an appealing design.
Rating: 7/10
Paraguay’s away kit showcases a blend of black and blue in a shadowy camouflage pattern. The tonal white logos add a modern touch, but like their new striped home kit, it lacks any striking visual impact. A rather forgettable design.
Rating: 6/10
Portugal’s away kit features a distinct nautical theme with a white base adorned with an energetic wave graphic. This design incorporates two shades of greenish-blue, resulting in a complex and somewhat chaotic visual execution, though commendable for its originality.
Rating: 6.5/10

Puma
Senegal’s away kit captures the essence of its national colors with a design featuring a vertical panel adorned with tribal-style patterns. While it’s a commendable effort, it doesn’t quite stand out.
Rating: 6/10

Puma
Puma has missed the mark with Switzerland’s away kit, opting for a garish green that is quite unsettling. The chaotic leaf print graphic does little to enhance its appeal, making it one of the least favorable designs.
Rating: 4/10

Puma
An off-white base adorned with an intricate pattern inspired by Bohemian cut crystal features charming burnished gold trim. However, the overly ornate design feels excessively busy and could benefit from a subtler approach.
