Casemiro: Man Utd decision…

Casemiro has firmly rejected the notion of retracting his decision to depart Manchester United at the season’s end.

Under the management of Michael Carrick, the midfielder has experienced a resurgence, netting two goals in his last three appearances in the Premier League.

In January, United announced that Casemiro would leave the club upon the expiration of his contract, concluding four seasons and over 150 appearances at Old Trafford.

After representing Brazil in their 2-1 loss to France, the 34-year-old stated, as reported by The Athletic: “I am still enjoying my time here in Manchester.”

“The support from the fans has been tremendous. However, I truly believe that my decision is final. The upcoming matches will undoubtedly present some challenging moments as I bid farewell to Manchester United.”

Having previously spent a decade at Real Madrid, Casemiro praised Carrick for the positive influence he has made since taking over as interim manager after Ruben Amorim.

“Above all, Michael is very knowledgeable in my position, having been an exceptional player himself,” he noted.

“This makes things much simpler, and he maintains constant communication with us. I feel we are building good momentum at Manchester, and my goal now is to help the club secure a place in the Champions League.

United has won seven of their last ten matches, rising to third place in the Premier League standings, with their next game scheduled against Leeds United on April 13.
