Gyökeres Scores Late to…

Viktor Gyökeres has propelled Sweden back to the World Cup.

The Arsenal forward scored the decisive goal in the 88th minute, securing a 3-2 victory over Poland. This came just five days after he registered a hat trick in the playoff semifinal against Ukraine.

Poland’s legendary striker Robert Lewandowski, at 37 years old, was eager to qualify for what could be his last World Cup.

Former Chelsea and West Ham manager Graham Potter was appointed by Sweden last year on a short-term contract with the singular aim of leading the team to the World Cup, and he has accomplished that goal.

Sweden had reached the quarterfinals in their last World Cup appearance in 2018.

They will compete in Group F alongside the Netherlands, Japan, and Tunisia in the upcoming tournament.
