DUBLIN, Ireland — According to winger Amad, the players of Manchester United feel that Michael Carrick is “the right man” to secure the head coach position permanently.
Since taking over in January until the season’s conclusion, Carrick has experienced only one loss in his ten matches in charge.
This improvement has put United on track to qualify for the Champions League.
During a training camp in Dublin this week, Amad expressed that the former England midfielder has already proven himself worthy of the full-time role.
“It’s not our place as players to determine his future, but he’s been exceptional and has contributed immensely to the team,” Amad stated.
“He possesses a wealth of experience, understands the club, and embodies its spirit. We believe he’s the right choice.
“His history with the club provides him with valuable insight for managing it.
“A manager like him can elevate a club to its rightful place.
“From my perspective, he’s the ideal candidate, though it’s ultimately not up to the players; we are just thrilled to have him as our manager.”
The United squad is currently in Ireland for a three-night stay at the Carton House Hotel near Dublin, preparing for Monday’s match against Leeds United at Old Trafford.
Positioned third in the Premier League table, a win against Daniel Farke’s team would solidify their stance in the Champions League qualification zone.

– Bruno Fernandes, 31, is Man United’s MVP, but they shouldn’t renew his contract
A successful return to Europe’s elite competition would further strengthen Carrick’s position in the running for the permanent managerial role, with the final decision to be made by CEO Omar Berrada and director of football Jason Wilcox.
“I believe the club will make a decision at the end of the season,” Amad said.
“In my honest opinion, we are very pleased to have him as our manager, and he’s performing excellently.
“Since he took over, it’s been clear to everyone that he is focused on winning and aims to secure a Champions League spot next season.
“He’s been doing exceptionally well, and we’re really happy to have him in charge.”
