Isaks Return Boosts…

Alexander Isak has been included in the Liverpool squad for the upcoming Champions League quarterfinal against Paris Saint-Germain after spending 15 weeks recovering from injury.

The 26-year-old forward has struggled to live up to expectations since his dramatic £125 million ($166 million) transfer from Newcastle, hampered by fitness issues and minor injuries.

Isak has featured in only 16 matches for Liverpool as he has been working to regain his fitness, following a serious injury sustained in December when he was tackled by Micky van de Ven while scoring the first goal in a 2-1 victory against Tottenham. This incident led to surgery on an ankle injury complicated by a fibula fracture.

His return is expected to be a significant boost for Liverpool, particularly for coach Arne Slot, who has faced increased scrutiny after disappointing performances, including a 4-0 defeat to Manchester City in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

Isak resumed team training last Thursday and participated in practice with his teammates on Tuesday morning before traveling to France.
