Ronaldo Battles Stomach…

Cristiano Ronaldo experienced stomach discomfort during Al Nassr‘s 1-0 victory over Al Ettifaq in the league on Wednesday evening.

The Portugal captain was substituted in injury time, feeling so unwell that he vomited in the locker room.

After the match, coach Jorge Jesus remarked, “I was contemplating whether to include him; he was not feeling well. He experienced stomach pains and overall fatigue, and right after I substituted him, he headed straight to the dressing room and was sick.”

At 41 years old, Ronaldo did not score but was instrumental in Al Nassr’s goal. His long-range shot shortly after the half-hour mark was saved by Al Ettifaq’s goalkeeper Marek Rodák, but Kingsley Coman reacted quickly to capitalize on the rebound and score the game’s only goal.

Ronaldo also hit the woodwork and had another shot cleared off the line. This victory marked Al Nassr’s 15th consecutive win in the Saudi Pro League, maintaining their push for their first league title since the 2018-19 season.

Al Nassr currently leads the table, holding an eight-point advantage over their closest competitors, Al Hilal, who have a game in hand.
