Palmer, Pedro miss Chelsea

BRIGHTON, England — Chelsea winger Cole Palmer and forward João Pedro were unable to participate in the team’s Premier League match against Brighton on Tuesday due to ongoing injuries, according to manager Liam Rosenior.

Palmer, who played the entire match on Saturday when Chelsea suffered a 1-0 defeat to Manchester United, has scored a total of 10 goals this season.

“Cole has been dealing with some tightness in his hamstring,” Rosenior stated to Sky Sports prior to the match. “He won’t be available for this game, and we’ll assess his condition for the FA Cup semifinal.”

Chelsea is set to face Leeds in the FA Cup semifinals on Sunday at Wembley Stadium.

The team has struggled recently, losing four consecutive Premier League matches without scoring a goal in any of them.

Pedro, who has found the net 19 times across all competitions this season, is out with a thigh injury and also missed Saturday’s fixture against United. However, Rosenior anticipates that the Brazilian international will be fit for the match at Wembley on Sunday.
