Neymar experienced a confrontation with his teammate Robinho Jr., the son of former Real Madrid and Manchester City star Robinho, during a training session at Santos on Sunday. The incident reportedly stemmed from Neymar feeling disrespected after the young player dribbled past him, as per sources who spoke with ESPN.
According to reports, a visibly upset Neymar, 34, tripped Robinho Jr. and the pair engaged in a heated exchange before being separated by teammates. Robinho Jr. was left very upset by the altercation.
Following the incident, Neymar reportedly reached out to Robinho Jr. to apologize, and he also sent messages to the young player’s family expressing his regret over the situation.
Sources indicated that Neymar and Robinho Jr. share a strong connection and that it is expected they will move past this incident in no time.

Neither Neymar nor Robinho Jr. played in Santos’ 1-1 draw against Palmeiras on Saturday.
Robinho Jr. was promoted to Santos’ first team last summer and has participated in eight matches across all competitions this season.
