In a bold move ahead of their European competitors, Bayern Munich has unveiled their 2026-27 home kit with a month remaining in the current season.
Shifting away from last season’s somewhat controversial red and white “M” design, Bayern’s fresh primary kit returns to a classic look featuring a solid red base with tonal stripes and understated white accents. The only decorative touch is a delicate gold trim along the collar and cuffs, along with the option to add a cockatoo emblem for the first time as a chest badge.
Bayern last adorned their home jersey with gold in the 2012-13 season, when they achieved a historic quadruple under coach Jupp Heynckes. After already claiming the German Bundesliga and Supercup this season, they are now aiming to inaugurate their new kit with victories in the Champions League and the German Cup before the season concludes in May.
To showcase the new home kit, Bayern’s men’s team is set for a significant debut against Paris Saint-Germain on May 6, in the second leg of their thrilling Champions League semifinal, as they look to overturn a first-leg deficit of 5-4.
This matchup certainly serves as a grand stage for a kit launch.
Shortly after, the Bayern Women will wear the new kit for the first time in their match against Eintracht Frankfurt on May 9, where they will also be awarded the German championship trophy.
