Álex Jiménez has been omitted from Bournemouth’s upcoming match as the club conducts an investigation.
On Thursday, the club released a statement saying, “AFC Bournemouth is aware of social media posts involving right-back Álex Jiménez.
“We recognize the seriousness of the situation, and it is currently under investigation.
“Consequently, Jiménez will not be part of the squad for tomorrow’s Premier League encounter against Fulham, and the club will not be offering any further comments at this time.”
Bournemouth will face Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday. Currently ranked sixth in the Premier League, they are striving for qualification for European competition next season.
So far this season, Jiménez has started 26 of the team’s 35 league matches.
