BARCELONA, Spain — The streets of Barcelona transformed into a vibrant “sea of blaugrana” on Monday as fans celebrated the team’s La Liga championship win.
According to Spanish media, more than 750,000 supporters gathered to honor Barcelona, who secured the title after defeating Real Madrid 2-0 at Camp Nou on Sunday, marking their second consecutive league title.
This victory secured Barcelona an unbeatable 14-point lead over second-placed Madrid, with three matches still to play.
The team celebrated its 29th league title by parading through the city on open-top buses.
“Barcelona once again demonstrated its passion for Barça,” the club stated. “The streets became a sea of blaugrana dedicated to a team that continues to write successful chapters in its history, celebrating these new titles alongside its supporters.”
With three games remaining, Barcelona has the opportunity to become only the third team in La Liga history to reach the 100-point milestone, currently standing at 91 points under the guidance of Hansi Flick.
