Rooney Injured While…

Wayne Rooney may face surgery after injuring his wrist while saving a shot from Jordan Pickford during a BBC show recording.

The former captain of England and Manchester United wore a cast while providing punditry for the FA Cup final.

The 40-year-old discussed the incident and outlined his recovery process during Saturday’s broadcast.

“You can see I was in goal at Everton,” Rooney explained as footage of him diving to block Pickford’s shot was shown. “Look at that save. I did well, but I hurt my hand, so I’m seeing a surgeon on Monday to evaluate the need for surgery.”
