Tottenham is making progress in negotiations to acquire Savinho from Manchester City for around £60 million ($80.1m), sources have informed ESPN.
Spurs are optimistic about the Brazilian winger’s interest in joining the club, as reported by ESPN Brazil last week, and discussions with City regarding the terms of a deal are ongoing.
Tottenham had previously attempted to sign Savinho last summer, but City was unwilling to let him go.
However, sources indicate that City’s position has changed, with the club now willing to entertain a deal that would yield a considerable profit on the £30.8m ($41m) they initially paid Troyes in July 2024.
Savinho has netted seven goals in 84 appearances for City. ESPN sources state that Spurs are ready to support their new head coach Roberto de Zerbi in the transfer market this summer, following their narrow escape from relegation in the Premier League.
