Brighton are in advanced negotiations to sign Switzerland midfielder Lia Walti from Juventus, with the 33-year-old keen on a return to the Women’s Super League despite having a year left on her deal in Italy.
The Switzerland captain joined Juventus in September 2025 after seven years at Arsenal, where she helped the Gunners secure four major trophies, including the Champions League and WSL titles. In Italy, she has made 24 appearances, with Juventus finishing third last season.
Brighton, led by manager Dario Vidosic, reached their first major final last season, losing to WSL champions Manchester City in the Women’s FA Cup. The club aims to break into the league’s top four and in April unveiled plans for Europe’s first purpose-built women’s stadium next to the Amex.
