Christian Fuchs departs…

Christian Fuchs has quit as Newport County manager after just seven months in charge of the League Two side.

The former Austria international, who won the Premier League with Leicester City, took over in November following the dismissal of David Hughes.

Fuchs leaves only eight weeks after guiding Newport to safety on the final day of the season. His departure, coming on the eve of pre-season, means the club is now searching for a fourth manager in a little over two years.

In a statement, Newport County said Fuchs had decided to step down and thanked him for his hard work, commitment, and professionalism, wishing him well for the future.
