Spurs seal Selma…

Norway international goalkeeper Selma Panengstuen says joining Tottenham in the Women’s Super League is a “dream” move.

The 23-year-old rose to prominence in 2025, playing a pivotal role as Bergen club SK Brann claimed a second league title under current Spurs head coach Martin Ho.

Panengstuen started all 27 league matches that season and registered 18 clean sheets. She made her senior Norway debut in a friendly against Sweden in June 2025 and, in September, featured in a 1-0 home win in the first leg of a Women’s Champions League qualifier against Manchester United.

She has begun the current Norwegian campaign impressively as well, recording eight clean sheets in 11 games.

Panengstuen has now opted to move to north London to compete in the WSL.

“This is a project that is going upwards,” said Panengstuen, whose contract length has not been disclosed.

“I have some friends here, and they have said some great things about Spurs.”

Ho added: “Selma is a goalkeeper with outstanding potential who already has a strong foundation to her game.

“She has the qualities we value highly, shot-stopping ability, courage, communication, athleticism and the mentality to keep improving every single day.”
