Newly promoted Hull City have made their first summer addition by signing goalkeeper Jack Butland from Rangers.
The 33-year-old joins on a two-year contract with an option for a further 12 months, for an undisclosed fee, as Sergej Jakirovic begins strengthening the squad for the Tigers’ return to the Premier League after nine years away.
Capped nine times by England, Butland played every minute of Rangers’ 2025-26 Premiership season, made 55 appearances in all competitions, and leaves Ibrox after three seasons and 157 matches.
He won the Scottish League Cup in his first season with Rangers and was named both the club’s Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year.
Before moving to Scotland, Butland spent seven years at Stoke City, making 77 Premier League appearances, and also featured in the top flight for Crystal Palace.
