Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain…

Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards, partner of the former Arsenal and Liverpool star, recently posted on social media about wanting a longer spell with Celtic in Scotland, while the player himself shared his happiness about a new deal on the club’s website.

Oxlade-Chamberlain, who has 35 caps for his country, said last season was an incredible experience and that being part of the league and Scottish Cup victories meant a great deal.

He added that he is thrilled to return, eager to meet up with his teammates, and ready to get to work in the hope of another successful campaign.

O’Neill’s squad travel to Ireland this weekend before opening their pre-season with a game against Shelbourne on Tuesday.

Oxlade-Chamberlain, who began his career at Southampton and won the Premier League, Champions League and Fifa Club World Cup with Liverpool, will link up with Celtic at their training camp in Portugal.

Celtic have not announced any new signings so far this summer.
