West Ham have signed England forward Ebony Salmon on a two-year contract after her departure from Aston Villa.
The 25-year-old, who has four England caps, made 75 appearances for Villa before leaving when her contract expired at the end of the season.
Salmon came through Villa’s academy into the first team and moved to Manchester United in 2018.
She said she is excited to join West Ham and begin the next chapter of her career.
After discussions with head coach Rita Guarino and others at the club, she felt it was the right fit.
She added that she is eager to get started, meet her new teammates and the fans, and help West Ham push on this season.
Her career has also included a loan spell at Sheffield United, a move to Bristol City, and stints in the United States with Racing Louisville and Houston Dash.
Salmon becomes Guarino’s seventh signing of the summer, following a season in which West Ham finished third from bottom in the Women’s Super League.
