Everton are in advanced talks to sign defender Hannah Blundell on a permanent deal after her impressive loan spell last season. The 32-year-old made 12 appearances for the Toffees while on loan from Manchester United and is now a free agent following the expiry of her United contract in June. Capped three times by England, the experienced full-back spent five years at United, making nearly 100 appearances. She came through Chelsea’s academy and played eight seasons for their first team before departing in 2021. Blundell welcomed a daughter in March 2025 and returned to action later that year.
