Wales forward Hannah Cain has rejoined Everton after her Leicester City contract expired.
The 27-year-old began her professional career with the Toffees in July 2018, spending two seasons on Merseyside before moving to Leicester. Capped 26 times by Wales, she struck the decisive goal against the Republic of Ireland to send the women’s team to their first major tournament, and later scored against England at the 2025 European Championships.
Cain said she is thrilled to be back, calling Goodison Park an inspiring home and a full-circle moment in her career. She noted how the stadium’s status as the team’s base reflects the progress of the women’s game and praised the electric atmosphere she experienced there at the end of last season.
She departed Leicester in June following their relegation from the Women’s Super League.
