According to sources, Aston Villa has submitted an offer to acquire Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho on loan, potentially with an obligation to purchase.
The 22-year-old has been informed that he is free to leave Stamford Bridge after a disappointing first season following his transfer from Manchester United. He struggled to influence the team’s performance significantly, and it appears he is keen to move on.
Garnacho did not report for preseason training earlier in July, as both parties have mutually agreed his absence from the training grounds would be best while his future is being determined.
Chelsea is reportedly seeking around £42.5 million ($56.9 million) for a permanent transfer of the winger.
Earlier this summer, Garnacho was informed that a regular starting position at Stamford Bridge was not guaranteed. Consequently, it was agreed that he could seek a transfer, with interest from various clubs across the Premier League, Italy, and beyond, including teams in Saudi Arabia.
A primary factor for his potential departure is the lack of playing time, although it is reported that the relationship between the player and the club remains positive.

Chelsea has confirmed the signing of Morgan Rogers from Villa for a club-record fee of £117 million ($157.28 million), as reported by sources.
