After finishing the last season without securing a major trophy for the second year in a row, Real Madrid is optimistic that the return of José Mourinho will herald a new era of success at the Bernabéu. To mark this fresh chapter, the team has unveiled a striking new green away kit as they aim to reclaim their winning form during the 2026-27 season.
In homage to their timeless coach, Madrid’s new away kit features a rich ivy green and white design—an uncommon color combination not seen since Mourinho’s last tenure nearly 15 years ago.
The 2026-27 uniform is crafted to exude an essence of “luxury and heritage,” with the textured fabric adding an elegant sheen to its overall look.

The kit features a geometric pattern inspired by the Real Madrid crest, with the club’s initials, “RMCF,” marked in a lighter shade of green in a dot matrix style.
The kit’s trim is accented with a refreshing minty white, and notably, Adidas has reinstated its classic trefoil logo on the chest, marking the first appearance of this logo on a Real Madrid away shirt since the mid-1980s.
Los Blancos last donned a dark green third kit during the 2012-13 season, which coincided with the conclusion of Mourinho’s first spell at the club. During that season, Madrid secured a second-place finish in LaLiga, reached the Copa del Rey final, and exited in the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League. Over a decade later, Mourinho is once again the man tasked with guiding the club back to glory.
Club captain Federico Valverde expressed his excitement upon the beginning of preseason training on Wednesday: “I’m really looking forward to learning from [Mourinho], soaking in all his advice and making the most of every moment during our training sessions together.”
“I aim to learn and grow, both as a player and a person. He’s a remarkable individual from whom I hope to gain a lot of knowledge. I’m looking forward to an incredible season.”
