In May, Brighton made their first-ever Women’s FA Cup final appearance at Wembley, with Symonds captaining the side against Manchester City.
Symonds has represented England up to under-21 level and received her maiden senior call-up in March 2025.
After signing her new contract, she said she feels completely at home at the club, where she has spent her entire professional career and developed alongside Brighton and the women’s team over the past six years.
She added that the past two years have seen the group raise their standards and build strong foundations.
Symonds believes they are beginning to fulfil their potential and are determined to keep improving.
Earlier this year, Brighton unveiled plans for what would be Europe’s first purpose-built women’s football stadium, projected to cost £75–80m.
