Nottingham Forest are close to finalizing a deal for Sporting CP defender Ousmane Diomande. The 22-year-old is a priority for new head coach Oliver Glasner, with negotiations progressing in recent days.
While a final agreement is still pending, talks are at an advanced stage. Diomande has a £68.2m release clause, though Forest hope to reach a lower fee.
Glasner is a long-time admirer and previously tried to sign the centre-back for Crystal Palace. Diomande has made over 150 senior appearances, including 15 for the Ivory Coast.
