Real Madrid and Fiorentina played to a 2-2 draw in a preseason friendly on Saturday, marking the debut of new head coach José Mourinho.
Goals from Endrick and up-and-coming talent Alexis Ciria gave Madrid an early 2-0 advantage in the first half at Wörthersee Stadium in Klagenfurt, Austria. However, Roberto Piccoli and Moise Kean struck back to level the match.

New addition Carlos Espí had a late opportunity to secure a victory for Madrid with a header, while fellow summer signing Denzel Dumfries played for 75 minutes.
Mourinho’s lineup on his return to Madrid—where he previously managed from 2010 to 2013—featured eight first-team players, including Andriy Lunin, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Álvaro Carreras, Federico Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga, Arda Güler, Dumfries, and Endrick, along with three academy players: Joan Martínez, Mario Rivas, and Ciria.
Forward Endrick, who played the latter half of last season on loan at Lyon, opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a low shot past goalkeeper David de Gea.
Ciria extended Madrid’s lead after a setup by Camavinga, but Lunin was unable to stop Piccoli’s powerful response.
Espí, who recently signed with Madrid on Thursday in a surprising move, made his first appearance as a substitute and almost scored with a late header.
“I’m the happiest man in the world,” Espí expressed to reporters after the match. “I’ve only been at Madrid for less than 72 hours. I’ve trained and made my debut… [Mourinho asked me] to be myself and get inside the box.”
