Japanese winger Daisuke Yokota says he wants to create “special memories” after completing a move to Rangers from Hannover.
The 26-year-old has signed a three-year contract with an option for a further season, becoming the Ibrox club’s ninth addition of the summer.
Yokota left Japan for Germany as a teenager, featuring for FSV Frankfurt and Carl Zeiss Jena, before spells with Valmiera in Latvia and Górnik Zabrze in Poland.
He joined Belgian side Gent in 2024 but struggled for regular minutes and was loaned out to Kaiserslautern and then Hannover.
After contributing five goals and four assists in Germany’s second tier, Hannover made the deal permanent earlier this summer.
“I’m thrilled to join Rangers,” he told the club’s media. “This is a huge club with a rich history, incredible fans and big ambitions. I want to help the team succeed this season and hope we can make some special memories together.”
