Supporters of Israel will be present when their team faces the Republic of Ireland in the Nations League next month, but no away fans will be accommodated.
Due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, both Group B3 fixtures will be held at neutral venues. Israel, the designated home side on 27 September, will play at the Nagyerdei Stadion in Debrecen, Hungary, where a limited number of their fans will be allowed to attend.
The return match will take place in Serbia, and the Football Association of Ireland has confirmed that the game on 4 October will be played entirely behind closed doors.
“The association values the passion and commitment of Ireland supporters who follow our teams around the world, but operational challenges and safety and security concerns led to this decision,” the FAI said.
“The Israel Football Association has confirmed that a small allocation of its supporters will be accommodated for their home game in Debrecen, Hungary.”
