Bradley Barcola has been named in Paris Saint-Germain‘s roster for the Super Cup match against Aston Villa, despite ongoing rumors regarding a transfer to Liverpool.
According to sources, Liverpool has made Barcola their top target as they seek a wide forward this summer, and preliminary discussions have taken place with his representatives.
Barcola is reportedly enthusiastic about a potential move to Anfield; however, while there has been dialogue between Liverpool and PSG, discrepancies remain in their respective valuations of the player.
The French international, whose contract runs until 2028, is estimated to be worth around €150 million (£128.5m/$170.9m).
After his return from the World Cup, the upcoming UEFA Super Cup against Aston Villa in Salzburg could mark Barcola’s debut for PSG.
His international teammates Désiré Doué and Ousmane Dembélé are also included in a talented travelling squad, alongside new signing Lucas Digne from Aston Villa.
When questioned about Barcola’s future on Tuesday, PSG coach Luis Enrique remarked: “I don’t know, and I prefer not to comment on any individual player, as it can be risky to speculate positively or negatively about them. My focus remains on the team.”
Liverpool’s head coach Andoni Iraola has acknowledged that his team is struggling to maintain the necessary fitness levels to compete effectively for a full 90 minutes, especially following a 3-2 defeat to Monaco in preseason.

The Reds have surrendered a two-goal lead for the second consecutive time this summer.
“I think we performed quite well in the first half, particularly the opening 30 minutes. However, we currently lack the stamina needed to sustain that intensity,” Iraola stated. “In the second half, they were clearly the better side.”
