Chelsea news: Satpayev…

Burnley have brought in Kazakhstan winger Dastan Satpayev from Chelsea on a season-long loan.

The move comes just two days after the winger turned 18 and signed a six-year deal at Stamford Bridge, with an option for a further year. Satpayev had already completed his switch to England, having pre-agreed a £3.4m transfer from Kairat FC to join Chelsea in January 2025.

Satpayev said he’s delighted to join Burnley, calling it a big step in his career and a chance to help the club return to where it belongs. He added that this is his first taste of English football and he’s ready for the next chapter and a successful spell with the Clarets.

His loan is one of several Chelsea moves this week, with Ryan Kavuma-McQueen heading to Portsmouth, Reggie Walsh to Wigan Athletic, and Shim Mheuka also close to a departure.
