Ipswich Town have completed the signings of winger Julio Enciso and midfielder Abdoul Ouattara from Strasbourg.
Paraguayan international Enciso, 22, and Ivory Coast midfielder Ouattara, 20, have each agreed five-year deals with the Tractor Boys. The combined fee could rise to £47.3m, and both players previously worked under manager Gary O’Neil in France.
Enciso, who spent three seasons with Brighton, enjoyed a loan spell at Portman Road in the second half of the 2024-25 season before moving to Strasbourg. He said he was delighted to return to Ipswich, praising his loan experience, celebrating the club’s promotion to the Premier League, and expressing excitement about reuniting with O’Neil.
Ouattara made 45 Ligue 1 appearances for Strasbourg and helped them reach the UEFA Conference League semi-finals last season. He said he’s eager to get started, meet the fans and his new teammates, and build on the experience he has already gained at a young age.
Following promotion from the Championship last season, Ipswich’s total outlay has reached £150m, with Enciso and Ouattara becoming their 12th major additions. They kick off their Premier League campaign at home to Sunderland on 22 August.
